Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, Chupacabras! A couple of the fellas were able to brave the cool temps last night for a quick ride down the Luge and back to Cook's for burgers and beers. Thank goodness for the heat lamps.

crankbrothers Christmas Sidewalk Sale...

Just keeping everyone in the loop...crankbrothers is having a sidewalk sale this Saturday down in Laguna Beach (310 Broadway). It might be a good opportunity for those of you who have been considering a Joplin seatpost to pick one up at a discount. Ride in the morning and swing by the sale afterwards. Don't forget to bring your crankbrothers pedals for free maintenance.

Saturday Ride

A few of the fellas got up early to brave the cold this morning in Aliso Woods Canyon. The Mayor snapped the picture above of the crew at Dripping Cave. These were the smart guys who didn't choose to attend the bike swap meet at Serfas this morning...what a bust!

Congratulations go out to the General, Lonnie Hoyle, who surpassed 1,000,000 feet ascended on GeoLadders on his ride on Friday.

Manny Prado Skills Clinic

I have been communicating with Manny Prado via e-mail in an effort to set up a mountain bike skills clinic for the Chupacabras. Manny has provided me with the following dates:

January 16th
January 23rd
January 30th

The clinic will be open to all with the following requirements: minimum of 4 riders and a maximum of 8. Manny limits the number of riders so that he can provide individual attention to each participant. The fee per rider will be $100, which includes a 4-6 Hour Clinic (more details and schedule to follow), lunch and a raffle for a chance to win bike products. The clinic will, most likely, be held at Aliso Woods.

If you are interested in participating, please e-mail me with the date that works best for you so we can get a head count.
